You don't have to register your Prime Card to be able to use it, but there are a number of good reasons to do so. It will allow you to make purchases over the Internet and over the telephone because you will normally need to insert a username and address to do so. Also, it offers you some protection in the event that your card is lost or stolen. Registration is simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.
