If your application is successful, you will be charged £1.95. If you have also ordered a second reloadable card, there will be an additional £5 fee (i.e. a total upgrade fee of £6.95). The amount will be deducted from your Prime Card balance. If your upgrade request is unsuccessful you will not be charged.
Yes, although it is not charged initially. The monthly maintenance fee will only start to be charged three months after the date of activation, or 12 months from the date of purchase (whichever is earlier). The monthly fee is £2, and is charged if an account balance remains on your card. If you are not planning to use the card for a few weeks or months, we recommend you delay activation until you are ready to start using it.
If you decide to upgrade your card to a reloadable card, the monthly maintenance fee no longer applies. For further information, please review the fees table in the reloadable terms and conditions which can be found here.
Yes. There is a fee of between 50p and £1 depending on the value of your transaction. This fee is the same regardless of whether or not you have upgraded to reloadable. For a full explanation of how the transaction fee is calculated, please see the fees section of the Terms and Conditions enclosed in your Prime Card package, or online here. The maximum transaction fee has been capped at £1, regardless of the value of the transaction. So, if you book a holiday for, say, £450, we will only charge you a transaction fee of £1.
